Question: Did you fill out a Bracket?

So my hate of college Basketball has developed over the years. Don't get me wrong, I still root for the Buckeyes and Syracuse (That goes back to the Lawrence Moten Days with the High Socks)....

.. But I just can't watch it anymore. The best players only play in college for one year and then they go water down the NBA talent pool with there 6 points a game. Some of these players don't even start on there college team! There are a few exceptions to the rule, but for the most part, these guys are average at best. And now we have the story of Brandon Jennings. This guy was the Parade Basketball player of the year, McDonald's All American etc... and instead of playing Basketball at the University of Arizona, where he "committed", he went overseas to play pro ball in Italy and earn some green to prepare for the NBA Draft. People think they are seeing great Basketball at the college level, but they just don't know any better.

I guarantee that if you take the winner of this years NCAA tournament and put them up against the 90' UNLV team or the 91' or 92' Duke team, it would not even be close! It is a dying sport! It feels good not to have filled out a Bracket for the 2nd year in a row! No Madness Here!

Moving on... We had our third and FINAL child in January. Everything went well. Not totally sleeping through the night yet, but we are working on it.

In other news... the "Big Love" Season finale was AMAZING! That and "LOST" are the 2 best shows on TV.

Adam Carolla is now doing Podcasts from his home station in LA got rid of all the talk radio talent and went to a top 40 teen hits format to save money. Fucking Stupid! So he now does a Free Podcast from his house that is, oh by the way, the most popular podcast in the history of itunes! Fuck off Terrestrial Radio!

Guess Who's Back!

Question: What Have I been doing since June 18th?

Well, where to begin? I am about t-minus 2 weeks out from the having a new son. He will make 2 boys and 1 girl for us. After that I am done with the baby makin'! Christmas was good this year. It snowed pretty well out here and Pacific North westerners had no idea what to do. Roads were closed, Flooding in the outlying areas; and here I was driving my 4 wheel drive Jeep through all of it just fine.

Ohio State had another good season. They lost to the #1,#2,#3 teams in the country and that was it. Terrelle Pryor is AS ADVERTISED! If we can get some WR help, I think we are built to win it all in 2010.

What else, oh we got the Wii. My son is addicted to Mario Kart. I am thinking about purchasing a fishing game.

The Bears missed the playoffs and Urlacher is not playing as well as he once was.

Won my Fantasy Football league for the 2nd year in a row. LT finally put up big numbers in my Superbowl with 3 TD's. Yeah free Money!

Screw the Sonics... Save our Mariners!

Question: What could you do with $117,993,982?

Apparently not field a winning baseball team. The Mariners fired their GM the other day and have just fired their manager. I don't think it is totally the manager's fault but I do put alot of it on the GM. Ibanez, Ichiro, Lopez, Hernandez and Bedard are actually pretty good players. I know Bedard's record is not that great but he gets no run support and kinda loses interest half way through the game. Henandez is a stud with the 3rd worst run support in the league.

I guess my biggest gripe is with Richie Sexson. He is batting .219 and making $14 million a year. AWFUL! And he is an Idiot. on being booed every night he comes to the plate....

"The money has a lot to do with it," said Sexson, who will make $14 million this year. "If I was making a million, people wouldn't care."

I got news for ya dumb ass. They will boo anybody that is batting .219 on a major league ball team.

What else is going on, Oh the Celtics won the NBA title. Hmmmm, not interested.

I watched the US Open this weekend and it was great. If you would have told me in High School that there would be a day that i would prefer to watch Golf over the NBA one day, I would have called you a Liar and punched you. Oh how things change.

In other news I went to Madison, WI on a business trip and finally got to see Iron Man. I thought it was pretty good. If you haven't seen it then I don't want to give anything away but I will say that Robert Downey Jr. is Iron Man and does a great job.

I still haven't seen Indy Jones 4 yet and I have heard that it is not that good. I think I will wait for DVD.

Question: Have you ever been Star Struck?

So I come into work today and who is standing right by the control room on the phone but none other than Pete Carroll. If you don't know who he is than where ya been? He is the head football coach at USC. He is brought the program back from the dead. I only thought it was weird because the Buckeyes play at USC this year for the first time in a long time.

" What recruiting violations?"

So I start prepping the 4pm Newscast and I find out Kenny Mayne is going to be here for an interview. Well I was going to be stuck Directing so I did not think I would get to meet him. I went to get some Gatorade at the 7/11 before the show and guess who comes walking up to the station but none other than the man himself..Kenny Mayne! He was by himself with no handlers or PR people. So I saw my opportunity and introduced myself. Could not be a nicer guy. He is exactly like you see him on TV. I checked him in through security and shot the shit with him in the elevator. He was there to promote his book -

Coming and Goings

Question: Would you save the Sonics?

So a friend of mine came into town a few weeks ago and we went to what may be the Last Seattle Supersonics game ever. They beat the Mavericks in a very surreal game. I used to be a huge Sonics fan back in the days of Gary Payton, Shawn Kemp, Detlef Shempf and Kendall Gill. This Sonics team, with the exception of Durant, feels like the Cleveland Indians team from the movie "Major League". The current Owner is some hiljack named Clay Bennet. He has systematically picked this team apart so that he can move them to Oklahoma City. Sound Familiar?

" What up Bitches?"

This city is not giving up without a fight, but I think it is already to late.

What else is going on? I am looking into buying a new car sometime next year. I have a Jeep right now that get's awful gas mileage. (avg. 16mpg)I have been looking at the new 2009 VW JETTA TDI's.

They run on Diesel or Bio Diesel and get about 43mpg city and 53 mpg highway. That is frickin great even though Diesel is about 30 cents more per gallon. But do I want to take on a car payment every month? It seems like every other week something is going wrong with my car. That is getting expensive and annoying. Now my heater has stopped working and I have been told that it may cost anywhere from $1000-$2500 to fix.

What else, oh yeah I find this awesome news today.

"Collider.com talked to writer/director/producer Adam McKay who says that he and Will Ferrell are definitely planning a sequel to 2004 comedy hit Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy."I'm looking to do another movie, I might do this other movie called 'Channel 3 Billion' which is kind of this science fiction/Brazil type comedy. Then after that, Will and I are like let's do 'Anchorman 2'... so you're talking like 2 years maybe we'll do it. But we're going to do it, for sure," he said.

Question: What the Fuck is Bracketology?

So I usually fill out a bracket every year for March Madness. Did not really feel like it this year. I don't even like to watch college basketball anymore.

I Digress.... anyway that Beasley dude out of K state is supposed to be a stud. He could be the one exception to the rule in this crop of players trying to make it in the league. So that is one player that I would maybe like to see in the league next year. One Frickin Player! I will Pass.

Easter came and went. Kids had a good one and I got lots of candy as well. So I will be spending my breaks at work on the treadmill at the gym. Stupid Metabolism slowing with age!

Oh, I almost forgot. The Buckeye Football team landed Terrelle Pryor. This guy is frickin amazing! Hopefully he can bring some "SEC SPEED" to the Big Ten and win a national title. We will see!

In a completely un-related matter, I bought one of my favorite movies of all time the other day at Target for $5.50. "CLUE" is a masterpiece along the lines of "Big Trouble in Little China" and "Saving Silverman". I can watch "CLUE" all day!
